Mortgage Checklist

The following information is usually required during the loan process:

  • Fully completed mortgage application
  • Accepted offer to purchase & all addenda signed by buyer(s) & seller(s), if applicable
  • Two current payroll check stubs
  • Previous two year's W-2 statements
  • Complete checking & savings account statements for the last two months
  • If self employed, your complete tax returns for the past two years both personal and business
  • Most current & complete statements for IRA, 401(k), or other investments
  • Divorce or bankruptcy papers
  • Landlord names and addresses for prior two years, if applicable
  • VA certificate of eligibility, if applicable
  • If consolidating debt, loan data such as account numbers, contact info, etc

If you currently own Real Estate:

  • Mortgage account information
  • Home insurance policy information
  • Home equity account information (if applicable)
  • Copy of owner's title insurance policy or original abstract
  • Most recent property tax statement
  • Date of home purchase or last refinance
